Note when checking a new saddle for fit:
Just placing a brand new saddle on the horse’s back is not sufficient to judge whether it is a correct fit or not. If your saddle fitter does this then we suggest you find a more experienced saddle fitter!
Often the saddle will appear too narrow when new and especially if not properly girthed up. A new saddle needs to be properly girthed up to get any idea of true fit. Preferably it needs to be ridden on for 5 to 10 hours, depending on the type of saddle, the horse and rider.
If at this stage your Zaldi saddle needs to be a little wider or narrower then most models are adjustable and we offer this service free of chare to ensure you have the perfect fit.
