VILA'S Desert endurance saddle by Zaldi

Another lightweight state-of-the-art endurance saddle from Zaldi designed in conjunction with World Endurance Champion Miguel Vila, for optimum performance by horse and rider competing in Endurance or Raid. This differs from standard 'Vila' saddle in that it has a flatter seat, padded in latex, which some riders find more comfortable for endurance riding. The underside of the saddle where it sits on the horse's back is the same as the standard 'Vila' saddle - see photo. This endurance saddle is based on Zaldi's latest technology thermomoulded polypropylene close contact tree. In a choice of European box calf leather or Zaldi's acclaimed Z-Plus synthetic fabric - which is easy to maintain, comfortable in all temperatures and is available in a wide range of colours (see options).       In Z-Plus material the saddle weighs only 3.5kgs (or approximately 7kg including saddle flaps/stirrup leathers and stirrups).    In leather this endurance saddle weighs in at 4.5kgs (or approximately 8kg including saddle flaps/stirrup leathers and stirrups).  This endurance saddle is fitted with Zaldi's patented 'multi-position' stirrup bars to allow the rider to change stirrup position during an event, to allow the rider to relax his or her muscles or to allow for differences in terrain.     Approximate length of the saddle over the horses back would be 17.5" (44.4cm) on a typical 17" seat size.
