Pantalon Caireles. Traditional styled Spanish riding trousers, high waisted, with button holes to take caireles. Made from a heavy cotton material. As used for riding or showing in hand. Worn with braces.
There are two styles: Campero (trousers with turn-ups). Worn with Botos Camperos (high boots). Paseo or Calzona (trousers without turn-ups) that take caireles, 5 per leg. These are slightly shorter than the Campero style, with the stripes of the cuff in a contrary direction to the trouser. Worn with Polainas (half chaps) and botines (short boots) or Zapato Vaquero (Vaquera shoes). Both styles have a button up fly. Neither have pockets.
Spanish culottes made in the same materials as riding trousers and featuring a decorative caireles trim at one side. Traditionally used as dress for walking in ferias but can be used for riding although not permitted in most competition classes - please see regulations of show/class concerned, or read the article regarding what is considered correct/traditional riding wear and tack on our main site under the heading 'Tack'. These items are handfinished and are available in traditional black or grey striped 'trouser' material or can be made in material and colours to match the Jerez style of jackets (there may be an additional charge for this depending on material chosen), they are made to order and four to six weeks should be allowed for their manufacture.
