Pantalon Caireles. Traditional styled Spanish riding trousers, high waisted, with button holes to take caireles. Made from a heavy cotton material. As used for riding or showing in hand. Worn with braces.
There are two styles: Campero (trousers with turn-ups). Worn with Botos Camperos (high boots). Paseo or Calzona (trousers without turn-ups) that take caireles, 5 per leg. These are slightly shorter than the Campero style, with the stripes of the cuff in a contrary direction to the trouser. Worn with Polainas (half chaps) and botines (short boots) or Zapato Vaquero (Vaquera shoes). Both styles have a button up fly. Neither have pockets.
