Falda calañesa, or cordoba (there are various names and styles, depending on manufacturer) are skirts reaching ¾ down the calf and are often made of the same material and colour as the jacket. Fairly sombre colours are popular as are grey or with a grey pin stripe. Walking skirts are not used for riding, either astride or side saddle.

The Falda Cordoba is a very good quality traditional Paseo skirt from wool serge, in a choice of colours. Hand Finished. These are top quality garments only made to order, with a manufacture time normally around four to six weeks from order date. These skirts are available with matching waistcoat (chaleco) and jacket (chaquetilla). If buying a suit, i.e. jacket, trousers or skirt and waistcoat at the same time then the manufacturers can guarantee matching material batch colours. Traditional 3/4 length ladies walking skirt, made from the same material as used for traditional Spanish riding trousers i.e. grey striped or black material. These are not used for riding either astride or side-saddle. These skirts are usually available 'off the shelf'.

Traditionally Ladies riding astride in Spain wear trousers and riding side-saddle they wear a side-saddle skirt or falda amazona. This is a full skirt not just an apron and has a facility to button up the spare fabric at the back for ease when walking. These are quality garments made in the traditional spanish riding trouser material of grey striped or black fabric, or made using the same fabrics as the Jerez or Paseo type jackets (at slight extra cost), they are hand finished. Manufacture is in the region of four to six weeks.

 Spanish culottes made in the same materials as riding trousers and featuring a decorative caireles trim at one side. Traditionally used as dress for walking in ferias but can be used for riding although not permitted in most competition classes - please see regulations of show/class concerned, or read the article regarding what is considered correct/traditional riding wear and tack on our main site under the heading 'Tack'. These items are handfinished and are available in traditional black or grey striped 'trouser' material or can be made in material and colours to match the Jerez style of jackets (there may be an additional charge for this depending on material chosen), they are made to order and four to six weeks should be allowed for their manufacture.
